During the "14^thFive-Year Plan" period, to meet the development needs of modern agricultural science and technology, further strengthen the advantageous research areas, and bolster weak spots of innovation in the key links of the whole industrial chain, Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GDAAS), together with subordinate research institutes, launched the construction of six collaborative innovation centers, including Smart (Digital) Agriculture Research Center, Fisheries Research Center, Prevention and Control Research Centre of Major Biological Disasters of Animals and Plants, Biological Breeding Research Center, Low-Carbon Agriculture and Carbon Neutrality Research Center, and Food Nutrition and Health Research Center.
